Is not silence.

Is words of comfort

The sound of peace Is leaves gently swirled On a soft breeze. The sound of peace Is the chirp of the cardinal.peace is lullaby sung by a loving mother bringing the baby to sleep.. i was in tears as i read it. my mother died at the age of 38. she used to sing to me lullabys when i was in the school and used to tell me these are the lullabys i sang when u were a baby.. thank u dear poetess for the peace u give me through ur poem now.. tony
Dr. Tony, thank you so much for your sweet and lovely comment! I am touched by what you wrote! Sorry about your mother; she was so very young. There is an old saying that only the good die young.
it would be nice to hear the sound of peace through the world, enjoyed your poem, thank you Alan
Wow...... Meditating as I read each line gave me a perfect feel and a picture of Peace. It is a great experience to feel within and around. Thank you dear, Poetess.
And Thank you, Dear Jeanette! :) This is why we do what we do !
Beautiful rendition of words. A work of an intricate and sober mind. Thanks for sharing Poetess and do remain enriched.
Such a sweet comment- - Thank you, Chinedu! You remain enriched, also! It appears from the comments that this one is becoming a reader favourite. I believe most of us prefer peace to war!
Tenderly written and indeed creates a calming warmth within.
Thank you, Jeannette. Good to hear from you! How are things in Lancashire?
Gently swirled leaves give us sweet breeze with fresh wind. We can best observe peaceful morning in this regard. Cold winter's night gives us beautiful perception. Sound of peace is little more than silence, very sweet and tender. Cardinal chirping we hear beautifully. Sound of peace wins heart and soul. An outstanding poem is well penned...10
Thank you, Kumarmani, for reading, appreciating, and rating! I had a feeling that you'd like this one, because it is so- - Peaceful.
Subtle and finely nuanced writing about peace. The only thing is that I do find peace in complete silence. I never turn on the radio and very seldom the TV. Your tall, slim lines look elegant.
Thank you, Michael. I, too, find peace in total silence. But look closely again at the title: 'the SOUND of peace.' Since we poets must be creative, I got to thinking about: 'If peace had/made a sound, what would it sound like? ' And that idea apparently worked, based on the comments I'm getting! Thanks for the compliment on the poem's format! :)
Oh Wow! ! ! ! ! Ever So Moving! ! ! ! ! Breath Takingly Painted! ! ! ! ! Ever So Poetic! ! ! ! ! Love This! ! ! ! ! :) Thank You Ever So Much For Sharing This! ! ! ! ! Again Wow! ! ! ! ! ! Quite Heart Warming! ! ! ! ! Ever So Very Many Endless 10S! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! +++++
Thanks, Becca, for your always encouraging comments! I took a couple of days off the site due to real-life demands, and I think you may have, too- - good to see each other again!
That is beautiful. To emanate peace from the very reading of it is rare and special. Thank you.
Thank you, Loza. One feels successful as a poet when the reader is able to feel what we're trying to convey!
a wonderful poem! Every facet of this poem is full of peace and it's place in both nature and life, I enjoyed very much this sound of peace
Thank you, Bill! Your positive comment and enjoyment mean a lot to me! Your name is quite familiar and well-known on this site. Now, I must read you, and acquaint myself with some of your writing!
Many thanks to you, Bernard! [3 I started this one on 9th November, completed it last night, and posted it today! Blessings to you!
I agree, except that I find that silence is most peaceful. No radio, no TV.
Silence is Golden. There are times when it is absolutely necessary. Thanks, Michael, for commenting.
