The Soldier Poem by N1n3x Phr3ak

The Soldier

Rating: 5.0

To travel across the lands, searching far and wide
Looking for a person, who has no place to hide.
Searching the mountains, and scanning the hills
I tredge through the waters; and head for the mills.
No one around; not a person in sight
It’s only day now, but tonight is the night.
I climb the ladder, and wait in the hay
To think its October, and I’ve been at this since May.
I’ve traveled great distances, for my kingdom
I’m here tonight, to reclaim our freedom.

What am I speaking of?

Back in my homeland, there sits this tower
In it sits a fat balding man, with absolute power.
He has spread fear and hunger, throughout our lands
He has removed all the grass, and filled it with sand.
It is his domain to rule, but not for long
What’s his name you ask? It’s Ping Wong

Why am I here?

Before I left my city, of beautiful Hong Kong
The townspeople sang, they sang a beautiful song.
They asked for a soldier to take him down
So I set out on my adventure, I left town.
I grabbed my rifle, and headed for the hills
I was ready to go, and claim my kill

Where are we at now?

My scope is pointed to the window in his tower
He knows I’m not coming, so he wont be a coward.
He leans on the balcony, drinking his evening tea
I have to take the shot, because he knows me.
*BOOM*
The bullet hits him in the head
He falls off the balcony, now he is dead.
I’m so happy, my mission is complete
But I’m also really sad, I think I feel defeat.
I can’t go home now, I can’t tell my mother
That the person, who was terrorizing our town, was my oldest brother.
