The Smart, Sexy And Saucy Me Vii

The Smart, Sexy and Saucy Me VII
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
It is a story of courage that I like
Of humans beating the odds
And Sam Mendes's 1917 is one such tale
Of relentless bravery facing a constant assault
Of Blake and Scholfield crossing No Man's Land
To save 1600 British soldiers headed towards a suicide mission
One of them does not live to tell the tale
But the other rejoices in a victory of his own telling
For he made it across the enemy line to save his men
British soldiers headed to fight a battle;

As the Smart me, I looked up how far Vimy Ridge
Was from Ecost Saint Mein, the village in the movie,
For Vimy Ridge is a victorious battleground for Canadian soldiers
Fighting in World War I
While Ecost Saint Mein is close to the Hindenburg Line
Which is the German defensive front in World War I,
Vimy Ridge is close to Arras and is on the Red Brown Line
And the Battle of Arras is noteworthy
There are two of them and the Second Battle of Arras is
"One of war's greatest triumphs" for the Canadian soldiers
Destroyed the German defensive system and enabled the
British 3rd Army to advance eastward at a great pace
Sealing the victory of the Allied Forces
As a chemical engineer with dual master's degrees,
I could not but be delighted at the piece of knowledge
That the Germans had discovered the Haber Process before the war
This was a process to produce explosives and it involved the production
Of nitrates from atmospheric nitrogen;

The Sexy me has this thought that back in Victorian times
It may have been symbolism in art to be influenced by lady or male loves
As the case may have been
I looked up J.M.W. Turner's biography for I have seen the movie
Which is very good
And I thought that since the movie depicted him being inspired by his wife
And during his later years, having an extra-marital affair with an older lady,
Did it result in a profusion of reds and pinks in his paintings
For both he and Gainsborough have been known to use greens and yellows and browns,
And truly, during his later years, his paintings had a marked preference for a blaze of passion in Fort Vemieux
And a subtle touch of peaceful times in The Red Rigi,
There is an even tone of delight in Venice with the Salute
And the visual effect of the culmination of his passion and devotion to art
Is stunning in his painting, Sun Setting over a Lake,
And I count myself fortunate for having seen his paintings
On Live display in the Art Gallery of Ontario;

The Saucy me has the truant thought that back in the days
Of knights and chivalry, men were known to kiss the hem of the lady's dress
And what has been considered a chivalrous move by a gallant knight
Is an artful way of peeking up her hemline
And God alone knows what is so intriguing as the turn of an ankle to British men
For I have it on the best of authority that Canadian men are known to be intrigued by women's bosoms
And of course, the faces and swinging hips should attract their attention
And if some women do not have beautiful faces,
They should make themselves out to be interesting
Or intriguing and I am again beset by the truant thought
As to how I should, if I were such a woman, make myself out to be intriguing,
A woman of mystery and I set the stage for more analysis for my physics experiments
For therein lies my aura of intrigue.

Please note: I am enclosing my floral art work of Turner's Ancient Rome with imaginative contrast from me.
