2 – 'Rangwali Holi – a free-for-all festival of colours, where people smear each other with colours and drench each other.' Does " memory" (a topic) refer to some memory the poet has about a MAN, a SHIRT, or a CELEBRATION, ...or a combination? The last 2 lines make me wonder. To MyPoemList (if not there) Bri :)
Thank you Bri Edwards for your nice comment.I should have given a poet's note about the popular Hindu festival 'Holi' for easy understanding of readers.Your comment filled up the lacuna.
1 – " Holi: a popular ancient Hindu festival, originating from the Indian subcontinent." angst: " a feeling of deep anxiety or dread, typically an unfocused one about the human condition or the state of the world in general." i THINK angst, not angsts?
You have your beautiful heart, absolutely a wonderful place to preserve that favourite blue shirt of yr beloved ma'am' You have potrayed very clearly how you loved it and got associated with it!
A lovely touching poem...one more golden feather on your poetry crown....your poems are all inspiring and the above one is no exception....thank you....thanks a lot for your valuable comment on me too...God bless you
Such a beautiful poem and written in such a interesting way. Our desire to preserve the objects of our love and appreciation is great, at the same time our thoughts that nothing really belongs to us keeps us in restrain. This balance is expressed in such an inovative poem. Great poem Bharati.

I came this morning looking to see if you’d posted anything new and have been rewarded. I found this poem interesting and saw in it a pattern for other poems addressed to objects usually deemed inanimate. Hoping you are well and thriving, Glen
Ah, what a beautiful ending and unexpected as well! Your poems are straight from the heart, but appeal to the head as well. Lovely.
Love in a favorite color. And that shirt became more than just a shirt, but a mark of emotions and dearest feelings. It always happens, but sometimes, this emptiness this space is filled.. ..with a lovely poem like this.
You still remember the sky-blue shirt with dignity and love. An emotional mind is attached with this shirt. No one can throw it as it beholds the sky of love and peace. This is not only a shirt but also a horizon of perception and memory. Such a shirt will be gifted ever soon and it is already gifted by God to us. A great poem is excellently penned.10
But alas! I could not ask for that coloured shirt Because I did not have a place called 'Mine ' To preseve that dear blue shirt! JUST BEAUTIFUL ACTUALITY NO PLACE TO KEEP
Wearing that shirt! ! Not the skirt; I still remember you. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
A poem soaked with love and sweet memories. You could have gifted it to me, but I could not ask for it because I didnt have a place of mine to preserve it. Beautifully depicting the helplessness of life
