The Skull Poem by Tom Allport

The Skull

Rating: 5.0

Hill of green
So far away
No city walls
So people say
A terrifying act
Has been done
And blood dripped
From someone's son
In a place
Forever known
As the centre
An historical zone.

Came back and read this again. It lingers in my mind which is a very very good sign of its value because I have a brain like a sieve! ! ! Just had to read it again. 10+++++++++++++++++++++++

Exceedingly well written. The nexus of all history. I like how [other than the title] [and the hill separated from far away], you give no clues but allow your reader to seek out and find the meaning. Beautiful piece of work.10+++++++++++++++++ and on my fav list
