The Shelter Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

The Shelter

Rating: 5.0

Midsummer afternoon
pedestrian walks
braving the scorching sun
amidst the heat and sweat
walking slows down
banyan tree in sight
a divine shelter.....
the gentle breeze blows
mind cools down
body energized
the value of shelter
who can measure?
the feelings of relief
who can express? ?
