The Sexaholic Shopaholic Workaholic in me looks at Justin Trudeau's CANADA
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
As I have been led to believe, Edmonton City TV has begun the televised series
Of my originally written TV show with dialogue for actors
And Episode 1 was good and the show "rests heavily on my dialogue"
But beginning the summer before last, I adapted the series for my own escapades
And jaunts and thoughts and gallivanting with my family;
I think along the lines of what would appeal to my audience
And to prospective publishers of my work
Your average highbrow individual may want more politics
Or more literature or more wit;
I shall attempt to deliver one or the other
Or what seems to me a tall order, a bit of each in
The rest of my poem
And beginning with the eternal favourite
The sexaholic in me but what has become an
Outdated concept for with feminism,
Came a thirst for work among women
And men who are competitive started to work long hours
For they had to stay on top
Otherwise people like Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland would wipe them out,
I am drawing your attention to PM Justin Trudeau's Canada
Which has beautifully committed to a ten year plan of
Supporting sexual and reproductive health for women
I say, PM Justin Trudeau, this should also be a priority for men
Who need reproductive power which I had taken for granted
Men are not so infallible after all
And have a sexually vulnerable side to them;
The shopaholic in me which in conjunction with femininity
Is an endearing trait is a fallacy
For femininity which includes cooking and baking and cleaning
And shopping which I mostly enjoy
Involves spending of money
And money is a commodity that must also be earned
And earnings are hard to come by in my world
But there is eternal optimism
That all's well that ends well
Is going to figure as a factor in my life,
If we go to the USA or I shop on the internet
And buy from Etsy.com who have incidentally hashed an order of mine
As has Amazon.ca, I am hit by US dollar rate for my Canadian currency
And I would like PM Justin Trudeau to shop for lower exchange rates
By increasing productivity in Canada and a demand for Canadian goods
Which means that since the US is a powerhouse also in manufacturing and agriculture,
Canada has to excel in its quality and quantity;
The workaholic in me has to have a nice blend of feminism and femininity
In my personality for with the advent of feminism
Came an utter disregard amongst women
To their previously subservient sides of their personality
Do you see Deputy Minister Chrystia Freeland inviting PM Justin Trudeau
To tea with fried and baked delights
But I have, for the record, with his three munchkins
If he does something special for me career-wise
Like publishing and paying me
Or funding me $10,000 to make my self-designed T-shirts with his and my quotes
Or both for I must be aggressive in my quest to become a somebody
Going back to my earlier catagorisation of my three traits,
I wonder if the workaholic in PM Justin Trudeau, an avowed feminist,
Finds it difficult to manage both sides to his personality
His masculine side which has to compete with his feminist side
And I suppose that from personal experience, men have an aggressive side
But a competitive edge
And women have a nicer side with a goal to get ahead also
And one may become a patsy in the crossfire.
