In the state of intimate communion,
the mystic declares that the self
is in God and God is in her.

It is an advanced phase
of spiritual consciousness.

It is the ecstatic state.

In the ecstatic state, the concentration
of interest on the transcendent
is so complete, the gathering up
and pouring out of life is so intense,
that the subject is entranced,
and becomes,
wholly unconscious
of the external world.
