The sea within, silent and calm,
Whispers nor roars it knows not.
I watch its ebb and flow,
Expression calm and clear.
Fish and whales in its lap
Curtsy to the divine,
Swimming and singing hymns.
Weeds nod vigorously in affirmation,
The sea's grace granting perpetual life.
All immersed deny their sin.
Beneath, at the bottom, marine oysters
Fashion pearls as a natural defense.
Divers descend to find hidden treasure,
While a heedless, unaware swimmer
Sees none of the pearls inside.
The true diver drinks deeply of the sea,
Gathering precious, invaluable pearls.
Satisfied with divine grace,
He falls into a meditative trance.
