The Sea Over The West Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

The Sea Over The West

Rating: 4.3

Out of the dark night
Shrouded in stealth
Swoops a bird as bold
As a bald eagle

And into the painful night
He brings a sorrowful message
Of thunder and dread
From the sea
Along the west

And into my arms
It sits
As I open the parcel in it

There it is written in gold
A message from the
Far west

A message so bold
Written in strength
That it tore my heart
And broke my soul

And the clouds
Over the sky
Stood vigil in sorrow
As my hands
Became numb
And my legs
Became weak
And I fell into the
Earth in anguish
Of tomorrow

The message was clear
The message that now
I hold dear
In longing memories of my lover

How during that fateful night
In the sea over the west
She sent me a letter
Written in gold
And inked in strength

The message was clear
Of how during that night
In the sea over the west
As storms battered the ship
That she was
Traveling me to meet

How the mast was broken
As the eagle took the message
How she caressed her
For the one last time
In fondness and in pain

And how the blessed bird flew
In through the dreadful storm
That took my lover
And to never return home
