That painting has been showing up in a lot of novels that I've read lately. A woman would indeed look like that painting if she found she'd left her house without her hair on.

Ok, funny! There was a suggestion that The Scream was a memory response to the delayed northern arrival of the tsunami and hellish skies following Krakatoa. I guess I'd forget my wig in those circumstances too!
