THREE: CONGRATULATIONS being chosen as The Modern Poem Of The Day! A very painful poem about a woman who wanted freedom of speech, but could not. This looks like in ancient days, but it is already the year of 2000
TWO: This is a loud cry for freedom of women's rights. Very sad poem but very fascinating to read it.5 stars for this sad poem. I am very indignant and deeply impressed.
ONE: Before reading this poem, I know Dr. Taslima Nasrin's story, I know her whole history of running away to another safer place/country because her government blacklisted her for her 'disobediences'.
There are many safe houses like where my wife resides called assisted living houses
It would be a most unpleasant experience to be confined in 'the safe house'. It must have been a struggle to survive. Thank goodness you did have a safe exit, never to return, hopefully.
It must have been too hard for her - almost in an exile. The poem expresses the mental torment she was going through! Congratulations for being chosen as POD.

This poem was written while Taslima was forced to live in confinement in an undisclosed location in Delhi from 22 November 2007 to 19 March 2008. Jail the safe home for criminal to change the guiltiness! Safe home my home where I'm free independent bird can fly hither to thither wherever I want wherever, can speak, can write, can eye contact, can live, can sleep............ But there I've seen the safe home where freedom in solid doom where independence in cruel chain where a woman was obliged to live for safety from toxic paws of independent criminals!
