Just beautiful. Deep write. It hurts to think nothing lasts. The tragedy of life.

You are a better person than I, if not sadder. I do not suffer the company of the impermanent wanderer for the heart is hallowed ground to be tread lightly upon or not at all. If there is ever a doubt that these depths of anguished disappointment do not produce the finest poems than your poem is proof of this truth. Both heart wrenching and a dull pain. you are so understanding, trying to balance and rationalize emotions. If by friend you mean lover.

Man needs security, but nothing is permanent. Change happens far too quickly, it seems. A good write on the human condition. What a lovely picture for such a sad poem!
