The Saddest Dusk Poem by DM W

The Saddest Dusk

Rating: 5.0

The saddest dusk emerges in this hollow world.
Sorrows cut so deep, they cannot be grasped by words.
We reach out for miracles, but there is only
Stark silence. We look for the wild rose of Beauty,
But there are only thorns. Promises are broken.
Fragile empires of the heart and soul rise and then
Fall perpetually; until we're overwhelmed.
Now we are merely marking time in twilight's realms.

Great poems need to be revisited and reread from time time. This is one of them. Thanks again Dominic and a full score that is so well richly deserved. And keep writing poetic wisdoms.

Great poem. Simply a great poem. With an closure end line any poet would die for. With quality crafted poetry like this Dominic, this is why I choose to read you, you have a gift and knack to tune in and then shape any human emotion into words few others can achieve or dream of. A full score and aptly so. Take care and stay blessed.
