The Rothko Chapel Poem by DM W

The Rothko Chapel

Rating: 5.0

These dark abstracts, with
Purplish hues, linger long
In the mind. They are
A window to the beyond.
Every uneven
Brushstroke is so detailed and
Varied.Their solemn
Depths like profound poetry
Seem to convey the
Hidden realms of silence that
Dwell like whispers or
Feathers within the centre
Of the world. As I
Contemplate them for a while
I'm rendered awestruck.
I feel as though I've witnessed
An eerie sense of
The sacred and infinite.

If it's Zen a good pilgrim seeks visit Rothko Chapel. A place of calm for everyone. Nicely presented and of course written too. A fine poem of solace. A full score and thanks for the reminder when in Texas.
