The Roll Of The Dice Poem by Ronald Strickland

The Roll Of The Dice

Life is so full of love and happiness that
brings us serenity that gives us positivity
in our day.

In the distance I hear the laughter of a child
and the cry of another, siblings teasing as they play,
I think as i smile with memories of children recalled.

A Robin chirps from a tree branch above me
as it's chirp is answered from maybe a mate
that sings its song, where i sit
peacefully in the shade, where my roll of the dice
would be where i would spend my day.

I'm in awh with the beauty and the sounds
with nature and life that surrounds me.

Maybe it's just a saying, but it's truly
the roll of the dice what you do with your day.
