road of motivation for fresh travellers. a beatiful poem, madam!
Ah, the roads we have traveled and the roads we have not taken... I wonder how many people are happy with the choices of roads they have made... equally I wonder if another choice would have made a difference in the end. Most people choose paths that they think they will be comfortable with... unfortunately comfort does not seek out challenge and adventure and possible failure. Thank you for writing this poem-0- it made me stop and think and wonder....
Susan Williams, Our essence; our inner being is continually being pushed and prodded by time and life experiences. I think that the One True God works in these things and desires our growth. Stagnancy is not something which we were meant for. Your ending line in your comment is very telling; It made me stop and think and wonder. You've got that right! You are a blessing and I love your deep thinking. Kathy
Dear Madam Kathy, I love the poem.... Life is a big road full of signs and the freewill to choose is up to us.... Do we know where we going through after life? ? ? The future is vague and unknown to anyone who has no God as center of all their plans... Thank you for sharing... Sincerely, diane
One of the great burdens and yet profound necessities of humanity is to to ask the deep questions. Much of our philosophy, much of our understanding of morality, much of our response to the interjection of the divine in our living arises from how we struggle with the deep questions. Why am I here? Is there purpose to existence? What is my destiny? What will this life mean in the end? You have brought us back in the lyricism of your writing to these same questions. You have invited the young (and not so young) to reconsider the essential questions of life. Thank you for this. There is so much noise in our lives, that we cannot even hear ourselves think at times, let alone contemplate. (A-musement- to not think) . Bravo, good poet, for tackling this with such insight and artistry.
Seamus O' Brian, Thanks. My poem was a rather simple thing but it was what I was doing at that time. Anyway it means something to be encouraged and oh we all could use a little of that! I know it was was nice for me. Bless you sir! Enjoy your life and this december day. Kathy
on the course of action college students take or not in life, a magnificent poem.

Life throws up so many roads its choosing the right one that can be the difficulty....nice write
Annette Aitken, Thank you for coming by and partaking of my poem. Yes each choice is actually an opportunity for growth and many times it comes out of something we would believe could not be good; it is what we choose to do with it. I appreciate your good thoughts and words. Bless you. Kathy
Hesitation is a human nature. At the intersections we hesitate, right or left, good or bad, fresh or foul...the doubts continues..Only the courage to take decisions leads us forward. But analytical intelligence lessens the risk. I appreciate the wisdom behind this poem, Kathy Van Kurin..
Progress forward is a simple motivation of what drives the heart. Slow down, study traffic, anticipate dangers. Get out of the city. Country air calls. Can you hear yourself think now within pure air of what defines who you are? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Marvelous words of wisdom- - - - - -We are on this journey- - - - - - - there are bends and turns- - - - - We have to think and ponder before we take a turn - - - - - - - -Whether it is right or wrong- - - - Whether it will give fresh air - - - - - - - - - - Where ever we go we should make that place beautiful by our love, by our work and when we exit we will surely be missed.- - - - - - - Wonderful poem dear Kathy Van Kurien,
Prepare, for your exit is coming.- - - Excellent poem for anybody at any age. The older I get the more I want to treasure every moment I have been given, to live that moment in a way that makes mankind a wee bit better for my having lived it. Then the phone rings and the husband yells at the news anchor on TV and the computer loses the poem I just wrote... Maybe I can do better with the next moment... Thank you for sharing this piece of intelligent writing. 10..
At each turn of life, we have to think and try to see if the road we are taking leads us to the right destination! There is only less time before us. So each decision is vital....! Know that this life is transitory. The time for exit is quite near! So make the best of time and opportunities, available here! A beautiful message!
I like this poem a lot. The beginning reminds me of Robert Frost's THE ROAD NOT TAKEN. I especially liked these two lines: Does our presence on this life's transitory road matter? Yes. Prepare, for your exit is coming. Well done, Kathy!
The Road, the journey, the twisting, the turning, the thinking and the planing; those are just few of what lies ahead regarding one's life. But yes, most important: Prepare, for your exit is coming. This poem takes on a very good message for all readers. Thanks for sharing, Kathy!
Facing the ways of life! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
'Does our presence on this life's transitory road matter? ' - This one line of your poem has set me thinking, and I am still thinking about myself, and the roads that I took at various turns. Thank you for sharing your pensive mind.
