The Ripples Poem by Shahzia Batool

The Ripples

Rating: 2.8

how many layers
has my soul?
i' m obsessed with this thought.
none can have a single look;
my heart is yet a virgin spot.
but painful fact
is only that
what disturbs me a lot:
i am what i am not...

i like this poem. may i suggest something? try to make it longer. you've expressed yourself really well, but it would be great if it was a little longer. would have given more insight.

Poetry expressed in the fewest possible words is the highest art. A deeply gratifying bit of work, Shahzia!

Ignore those who say longer. It is just right. I too have written one called - Who Am I - perhaps with a different thought in mind. Adeline
