Though shadows stretch and evil holds its sway,
And darkness claws at hope with chilling hand,
Though wicked winds may howl and tear away
The fragile peace that lingers in the land,
Lo, the cloak of night, a canvas dark and deep,
Conceals the edges where the wicked dwell,
And evil whispers, secrets it does keep,
A shadowed realm beneath its binding spell.
Despair not, friend, for even in this night,
A promise whispers on the bitter breeze.
A single star, a lantern burning bright,
Foretells the dawn that bends the somber trees.
For darkness deep, however strong and vast,
Cannot eclipse the sun's returning fire.
Good's gentle flame, though seemingly surpassed,
Will rise again, and lift the world up higher.
For righteousness, a sunbeam pure and bright,
Divinely forged, a gift from God above,
Will pierce the darkness with its holy light,
A testament to unwavering love.
Though shadows lengthen, and the darkness clings,
And evil's hunger seeks to conquer all,
The dawn will break, on strong and hopeful wings,
And truth will triumph, answering the call.
For light endures, a beacon ever true,
And God's great love will see us safely through.
So fear no more the evil and the blight,
The sun will shine, and banish endless night.
