The Right Poem by Rue Palmer

The Right

Have I not the right to live the way I do without some folks turning up the nose?
As if they were I, they wouldn't live the way I do?
Tell me. I need to know! I need to know!

Judge me not so you won't be judged says the good book.
So why are you giving me that scornful look?
I will still make my cash on this block.
God is my Judge, so stop and think before you throw that rock.

Then the answer came softly and convincingly.
Yes, you have the absolute right to live the way you do!
Remember there is a consequence for every path that you ensue.
