The Rescuer Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

The Rescuer, our Lord and King
His love for us, an eternal spring
He came to Earth, in human form
To save us all, from sin's deadly storm
With arms outstretched, He took our place
On that cross, with His saving grace
He bore the pain and suffered for us
So our souls, could be cleansed and just
He walked among us, in perfect love
He healed the sick, and showed us, above
That in His name, all things are possible
His miracles, forever unstoppable
The Rescuer, with a heart so pure
His compassion, forever sure
He gave His life, for all mankind
His mercy and grace, forever combined
With every breath, He speaks our name
His love for us, an unending flame
He sees our struggles, and hears our cries
His love for us, never dies
The Rescuer, our guiding light
In Him, we find our strength and might
He lifts us up, when we are weak
His love for us, forever unique
So let us praise, this Rescuer divine
For His love, and sacrifice, so divine
Let us follow, in His footsteps true
For in Him, we find all things new.
