The Ravens Neglect Poem by Clyde UrMom

The Ravens Neglect

Once, a vibrant seedling, bathed in light's embrace,
His laughter bloomed like flowers, a joyous race.
But shadows crept close, whispered secrets so cruel,
Neglected by his father, a friendship's broken jewel.

Like a raven's call, his heart began to ache,
Echoing pain, his spirit yearning to break.
The sunlit skies turned gray, a relentless storm,
And every smile he wore became a fragile norm.

His father's love, a vacant chasm of despair,
An empty glass shattered, emotions beyond repair.
Abandoned like an island in a sea of doubt,
He found solace in the bottle, a spiraling route.

Alas, his friends, once stalwart, began to fade,
Like wisps of smoke, their loyalty betrayed.
In crowded rooms, he stood alone, unheard,
A phantom in their midst, his voice deferred.

He dove into the bottle, a toxic embrace,
Seeking solace within, a twisted saving grace.
But the liquid fire that coursed through his veins,
Was a deceptive comfort, numbing all his pains.

Like a moth to a flame, he danced on the edge,
A precipice where hope and darkness wed.
His spirit sank deeper, swallowed by despair,
As alcohol's grip tightened, ensnaring him, unfair.

His heart, a cracked mirror, reflected his plight,
Fractured dreams and fears consumed him at night.
The world spun in chaos, a kaleidoscope of dread,
And all he longed for was a lifeline, a thread.

Oh, boy, lost in the labyrinth of your mind,
May hope's ember ignite, a beacon you'll find.
Though darkness surrounds you, remember your worth,
For within your broken soul, there lies rebirth.

TOTALLY didn't accidentally add three poems instead of one because I copied way too much from my notes app and I'm TOTALLY not just realizing it now…third poem is called "a faceless mother, a shattered family."
