'The rain makes no demands, it covers and it nurtures' - I love your perception of the rain and the way you have created such a vivid picture in so few words. A really refreshing read. (My perception of the rain is called 'Understated'.) Kind regards, Justine.
You have captured the spirit of the rainy season. Every word, every phrase, capturing a thought, a mood, a feeling. And then the beautiful unforgettable 'Sheltering seedlings in its arms'. Bravo!
I loved this Max! One of my favorite things to do is sit on my porch during a rainstorm............nothing better! Very nice poem. Sincerely, Mary
I'm not a fan of the rain unless I have a day off (which is not often lately) . Seems like people on DC highways just stop moving when they see a dropp (pomehunter has that tendancy to add extra p's to words and I do apologize) of water on their windsheilds. I liked the simplicity of your poem. It works especially well because you point out how do don't want to do much because of the rain. Take care.
I love nicely creative poems on natural events. Especially the last few lines of this one were well stated. Perhaps you could have extended it a bit more. Would have been nice to have the freshment of 'The Rainy Season' hang around longer. Thanks for sharing.
