The Rainbow Flag Poem by Randy McClave

The Rainbow Flag

She cried and shouted that it was such a disgrace
It was a slap on every founding fathers face,
She screamed when she saw a rainbow flag flying
And she believed all of our great patriots were all crying.
A rainbow flag flew under our country and state flag
Then for that reason she called it a filthy rag,
No disrespecting flag she said should ever fly beneath the two
They give shame to the state and also to the Red, White and Blue.
I wander if she knows what the U.S and the State flag represent
And by what reasons their waving and flying is meant,
Liberty, Freedom, Love of country and National purpose
The U.S flag is there flying for each and everyone of us.
Every state flag represents every person of that state
Where freedom and Justice is their fate,
She shouted how someone should take the rainbow flag down
How they should shimmy up the pole like a stupid controlled clown.
She said how she would praise them with a smile and then applaud
And said how they would be doing the work of God,
Then that flag she exclaimed should be tossed upon the ground
Then it should be stomped on and then fire pit bound.
Of course it can't be her or anyone else who is political
Because, of course she cried that would be too critical,
Instead it should be someone without any common sense
Hopefully a devout follower of Donald trump and/ or Michael pence.
A follower is needed who believes that trump is their holy savior
And for the Republicans they'll always do another favor,
For the Republican they'll happily get arrested and go to jail
For the Republican's they don't care if their souls are sent to hell.
So, Majorie cried and cried and screamed out some more
It's once again time in America for an all out war,
We must remove the rainbow flag from where it flies
Of course with her reasoning and belief she shouted out more lies.
She cried only the American and the state flag should be showing
In the breeze only those 2 flags should ever be blowing,
Now I'm trying to figure out her true beliefs and role
She wasn't bothered when a MAGA or Confederate flag was on the same pole.
