The Rainbow Connections Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Rainbow Connections

The Rainbow Connections

Never to know what became
wouldn't be a compromise
a problem compounded,

A love that did not took place,
are no streams to return to,

i never saw your face
In a crowd of forgettable faces.

as a drop of holy water,
Into the seas of life means nothing,

In equalled alliterations,
motions, effects to the fictions,

Matching the drones of
errorintervention,

Comes the thrown piece of a carbon dice,
I did not claim you as a prize,

in lottery numbers chances of life,
you did not exist.
or I would be known to be forgiven,
as a face in your forgotten
dreams on a midnight rendezvous,

In the same way I'm being
unmasked as phantoms
who stoked you to believe
there's somebody waiting
for you at end ofthe corridors,
Somewhere over the rainbows,
