daniel, i find tantalizing the idea that a poem is a threshold to silence. i'm not sure it's true, but my attention has lingered on that declaration. now, as to the likening of the heart's rhythm to sadness, as a counter, think of the heart-like thumping on the drums of our native brothers; for me it suggests something else. -glen
Eventually, I will write a poem that needs no words, because a poem is a threshold to Silence. That is its destiny: to become a zephyr wind that softly disperses the sadness of things- - - - Amazing lines!
