The Quest Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

The Quest

I heard the awed tale
Of white exploits across the sea

I saw the ingenuity
Of the genius voyaged across
To black soil

I learnt the scientific witchcraft
Of small gods
And my appetite is wet

I will drink on till drunk
When my kin soul is myth washed
And move at par with peers
