The Proposal Made In The Rain Poem by Ray Hansell

The Proposal Made In The Rain

He got down on one knee
Looked her in the eye
Asked her, would you marry me?
Soon she began to cry

He took the ring from the box
Slid it on her finger slow
It was not a real big rock
It was for love you know

Through quivering lips
She squeezed out the word yes
He stood to give her a kiss
He knew that he was blessed

The future is looking good
Two people in love
Knowing the time was right
Feeling blseed from the heavens above

Hopefully a lifetime of happiness
Is what they'll come to know
This of course can happen
If respect and love continues to grow

When future is full of love and light, then marriage is called successful. This poem is very brilliantly penned.
