The Procession Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Procession

I heard the din outside
Amidst sound of drums
People struggled to get
A look of the god sitting
In the throne on the altar
Made of wooden planks

I was awestruck looking
At the radiance emanating
From His beautiful eyes-
Full of kindness and deep
Compassion. As I bowed
Tears welled up in my eyes
And I felt deeply blessed

This is year I miss the
Sound of drums and the
Sacred air of love, peace,
Brotherhood and harmony

This year everything changed. But kindness abd compassion still rules. Beautiful thought in the morning. Thank-you.
