The Process Of What Was Imprinted When I Was Young Poem by Raj Dronamraju

The Process Of What Was Imprinted When I Was Young

When the cue is introduced, you'll think of funny names and the same associations
Cards put to your forehead and guess what's on the other side
A provision for your strange midday mood mangle

Every situation is dragged in the wrong direction by wrong programming unchecked
Run the program and watch it grind the tape, eat the tape and the recording is garbled

I don't like cats, their fur makes me sneeze and cough
I don't like cats, their aloofness is sinister and I see witchcraft in their evil eyes
Now the physical condition imprinting causes the emotional reactive one but does it?

Something in the air today and I think it's future preferences and strong likes/dislikes
That's the birth of a feeling for outdoor spaces
But also why you react so defensively and jam your body into the crawlspace of self-sabotage
