Bri, This may be your best yet. There's stark imagery, but there are metaphorical interpretations that address issues about the human soul, the spirit. Doesn't necessarily say good things about us as beings, but great poetry doesn't have to be 'nice'. Really well done! Exceptional!

If a man raises his hand against another, the same will be meted out to him too! Yet when I think of guillotine, I feel it is so barbaric! Reading this poem I am reminded of another poem The Patriot by Robert Browning! But for the protagonist of Browning's poem, the punishment was undeserved.........! This poem is quite different from your usual type..... quite philosophical! However I love it!
