i think...Sandra conveyed that despite of all those by thoughts and reflxes the prisoner is still a prisoner of his deed... and thus gets a fix of death in the end.

The poet's idea is not very clear; whether supporting a capital punishment or the culprit....As Eyan said, this poem is too long and somewhere got off the tracks.

it is very hard for me to comment on this Sandra, it is very hurting on the part pf the prisoner.Your beautiful and step to step narration says it all.Other than this, the story is very sad.
