God gives chances, to turn and to mend,
To leave the darkness, and to amend.
He offers mercy, and a loving hand,
But pride and stubbornness, often stand.
Evil people, in their own pride,
Think they've earned blessings, and they've got it right.
They forget the Giver, and the source of their might,
And attribute their success, to their own light.
But God is patient, and His love is true,
He wants them to see, the error of their view.
He gives them chances, to change and to grow,
But they refuse, and their hearts remain slow.
Their pride is a barrier, that blocks out the light,
And prevents them from seeing, the truth in His sight.
They stumble and fall, but still they won't bend,
And their hearts remain hardened, until the very end.
Oh, how long will they ignore, the call of His love?
How long will they reject, the gift from above?
Will they never learn, and never see,
That God's mercy is waiting, for them to be free?
But if they keep on ignoring, His call to repent,
God will punish them rightly, for their evil intent.
For He sees the innocent, and their suffering too,
And He will serve justice, for all that they've been through.
He'll judge the wicked, and reward the just,
And bring balance to the world, with His righteous trust.
So let the proud and wicked, take heed of His ways,
For God's justice is coming, and it will not delay.
