I feel this is just coincidence and there isn't much truth or (any truth) in what you referred to! But in any culture and any land, a number of such superstions prevail! We are so uncertain about our future and we do not know what is going to happen next.... May be this uncertainty leaves us believers of the superstitions and takers of the occult! Any way quite interesting to read and know of such prevalent beliefs! I have heard of the assumption behind the itching palm! Enjoyed!
