This life both wild and calm,
A journey through adventure opening to beauty,
Is weaved in threads of mystery and polarities.
Yet in the heart flows a sea of endless delight,
As I surrender to sound and serenity,
Knowing life comes through every wave.
Yet from such an intimate journey of the soul,
Arises a wisdom, unflickering in light,
Unwavering in faith, undying in hope.
Surprising it may seem, yet from such a pilgrimage,
Arises many a poetry on the pages that lay blank,
For decades and decades, in the hope of some fingers
Holding the pen to release its buried pain.
The sea that takes me to the gem of contemplation,
That lie deep beneath the surging waters,
As the waves come splashing down on my soul.
As with madness, I dive, as with wildness I surf,
Through the dancing waves in search of ecstasy,
I find the hidden gems that live with undying luster,
For years beneath the sea.
On the coast gleams the light, whispering of safety,
On the waves lie the swell, whispering of uncertainty.
Sweet is the breeze, murmuring of life,
Sweet is the caress against my cheeks,
Welcoming me to a life that mingles sound with serenity.
Where the sea meets the sun- drenched sands,
And the grating roar comes from the pebbles on the land,
I rise to find the symphony in noise,
The sweetest sound amongst a cacophony.
I begin and cease, swaying in my mind,
Wondering whether to rest or to surrender
To the waves of life inviting me to join,
This dance of life that comes with a grandeur.
But I now hear, in melancholy,
The ebbing and flowing, the rushing and receding
Of its unending waves weaves the story of life,
In richness or pallor, in sorrow or delight.
Come as it may, I surrender to sea,
As I rise to go back to the dancing ecstasy.
Battered with struggle, clashed at night,
I may run dry along the stretch of sands,
Yet I return to the welcoming waters
Of the dancing sea of life.
And I live free from what binds me
To the earthly pain and delight,
While I hunt for unearthly joy that lights my heart.
Such is the madness rising in me,
As I dive for the pearls that lie beneath the sea.
In such shoreless ocean, do I plunge,
For a songbird that sings in me.
In such fathomless waters, do I splash,
For a poet who writes in me.
In such a madness do I dance,
For a pilgrim who meditates in me.
And I rise, the singer, the poet, the pilgrim of soul,
Dancing on the waves, swelling in melodies,
Freeing my heart from the bondage of agony.
I rise unchained, unshackled, from the waters of deep delight,
To glimmer in the dawn and dusk of life,
So, in sunrise or sunset, golden or crimson,
I splash with delight, I rest in surrender,
Seeing no end of such shoreless ocean.
The sea-wind comes with a distant cry,
And I know now, I must survive,
The dancing waves of sound and serenity,
The mix of wild and placidity.
