of the world
and its condition
but I can't

too much chaos
and confusion
mental illness
physical pain
victims
of mass shootings
too many bullets
we have suffered
in their rain

wish I could
paint a beautiful picture

right now
but I can't
I just can't
if I were to paint
a picture of the world
right now
it wouldn't be beautiful
it would be one
of sadness and sorrow
and not too many
bright colors
would it contain!
