Made a revisit today, after maybe, five years. Enjoyed reading it again.
my friend, you are always welcome to my page and read all you want! ! ! !
My dear Sandra Feldman, you traveled one of those roads by my side, giving me strength, instilling hope, being there when all was so dark. I pray that everyone travelling the roads where our children are in peril have an angel like you by their side ready to listen to us, ready to cry with us, ready to give us strength for another day. and another day after that. Truly, your parents should have named you Blessing. Love your dear heart.
If you had never written another word nor another poem, this masterpiece wins the universal place for human fear and pain, It deserves! The Sad Summit. I have never read anything sadder, more complete nor truer in the intense description of human pain. It's all here! I cried and felt all your tears and suffering too. And Life's unwanted knife turning and producing the most indescribable deep pain.

Very well expressed, and summed up in the last three lines: 'life is a onetime gift/ with an expiration date/ on its nameplate'.
until we realize the hard way that living each day fully is not just a cliche that we have been a spendthrift that life is a onetime gift with an expiration date on its nameplate..- - - A fabulous poem.We have to accept the hardest truth that life is uncertain and no one knows when the end comes.Let us live life with gratitude for what we have now.

well done for capturing all sudden moments that reminding us about what is life is meaning and will make us more humble 10++
There are way too many of those moments aren't there? And the always take place in the small hours of the night
life is a onetime gift with an expiration date on its nameplate.
Susan, there are some grim things in this poem, but that is reality! We really don't know when our time will come, and we need to live our lives the best we can to be ready for that day. I am going to add this poem to my list of favorites.

Life can be taken away suddenly, Yes, Only God know our stay and time in this earth, Very sorry to hear about your daughters condition which i may say so is also precarious, A very great and frank assesment of our time on this Earth, Your poem is a forcefull way to these sudden life changes and plans that future holds for us This is another truthfull and great poems you have written, Iam rating this poem first rate excellent A “+++++ from Benjamin Chiu Uy
We all sooner or later have these moments, hours, days, months or years when our mortality slaps us in our face and reminds us we are not immortal and we have no power over our lives- only God has that. Thank you for your encouraging comments, Benjamin. I treasure them highly.
