Cursory glance of the willowy dame
Pierced the heart and it did tame
Embodiment of valour and too brave,
A thunderous jolt to him it gave.

The world is one eighth of natural perfumed beautiful young lass and lads. we have at our homes and in our neighbors..not every human gets seduced, though many may be reckoned, but too scared of cultural and emotional entanglement, but a few has fallen into the trap of seduction to nurse the wound and repent once in a while, at the same time hated by their spouses and ridiculed by their kith and kin for ever. wonderfully worded poem to explain certain situation..Thank you for sharing

This is an honest poem about temptation to seek relief, glee, joy instead of aiming toward some higher and better goal. WE have a duty to ourselves to live for others. Otherwise, I agree with Roseann Shawiak's praise of your poem.

Banished he had selfishness n greed In service of humanity joy he derived. Gone with the wind were his resolves By her glance and a seductive pause. Amazing poem. Looks like a narrative dedicated to the valour and righteousness of an epic hero on one hand and his infatuation with a charming dame on the other. These two things can go hand in hand. I love it. Thanks.

A woman's beauty can upset the good resolves of a man! That is why women are labelled as temptresses! In this context I am reminded of Helen of Troy. It was her beauty that was the cause of the long ten year's Trojan war! The famous line is still familiar to us all.... Was this the face that launched a thousand ships'! Enjoyed the story of the chieftain who fell under the charms of a woman!
