Hi Amitava, this was a really enjoyable read, the the two characters envying the others situation is a terrifically strong message, that the grass is not always greener. thanks Damian
Within our own perception we create longing as we feel the joy of somebody elses life instead of reaching down deep into our souls and find our own rich treasure of love, peace, joy and hope! Beautiful write!
we should be happy the way we are no matter what..... the more you hate yourself the more someone admire to me you.... Bravo Sir.. wish to add you as a friend and learn more from you... hope to hear from you sooner. read my poems too...
An excellent write detailing the difference between the haves and the have not. Yes we do admire the people that lives in magnificent homes and castles. It is nice that they can have these things. It is even nicer that we are comfort in our own skins. For we not not whether they are wearing theirs with ease or contentment. Better to dwell in a tent where there is love than a castle where no love is found there. Very inspiring write.
We always think another has a better life than we do, envy plays it's part well in this capacity. Our perceptions don't always match up with those of reality's however and we fail to water the grass on our side while wishing we had what someone else has in life. Excellent poem Amitava. RoseAnn
