Walking through a wood one day
I came across two paths leading around a lake
I pondered which one to take; looking at
Them both they looked almost identical,

in our life we will always come across two diverging paths, .......we have to chose the better one and that make all the difference.......and i think this poem is homologous to the road not taken by Robert frost
Well I should think it obvious that the dog should always choose the path more traveled! (smile)
Poet you are a great watcher and you know the short cut is never the better way....
In life we face making decisions everyday, sometimes they can be life changing! Lovely write!
At forking paths, we pause undecided wondering what to take! Each one may have its own merits and demerits! Some how the choice is decisive! But we are to choose! A great philosophy of life brought out in lucid lines! !
All paths are good depending on how you look at it...life is an adventure: ^) I loved the hanging question....just my cup of tea x Love Roobs: ^)
This is what, our in our lives almost all have to face one way or another..well another great gem from ur side Sir
Khairul, I would chose the path.................... I have to keep you in suspense, that is partially what my poem is about. I hope to leave the reader with a question not an answer.
A great poem, the only time we will know if the path we take in life is a good one, is when we have walked it.
This centralised metaphor runs not the current of the poem only but governs the life as well! ! ! ! ! !
You left me wanting more with this one. But what I took from it is that there is no perfect path in life, and whatever one we choose there will be problems. If only we could know which path had the least problems. Of course, everyone would be on that path, and it would be so crowded!
There are always snakes in the grass to look out for - good one David.
Reminds me of Robert Frost poem, Path Not Taken and his conclusion 'I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.' Recently I have been asking this question also. Path taken by others is always less risky. You answered my question nicely. Thank you for a nice poem.
A nice poem well written as always. Great minds think alike I've just written a poem about this called life is a circus! ! !
Good decision..Before choosing any path, one does a fair calculations. Sometimes after going half way we will feel the other side was greener. But each path there is something hidden in it, which we can never anticipate. The path which look simple may be full of wonders leaving us shattered and the path which look something uncomfortable may be little bit cool too. Anyway one has to choose, cause there is no choice.life has to move on. Beautiful poem...Loved reading it.
