The Path If Emptiness Poem by LALATENDU KABI

The Path If Emptiness

The Path of Emptiness

Says the seeker of truth, 'Heed my song,
My heart was beating where I didn't belong.
In this foreign lands, my love's bright tide
Has turned to pain I cannot hide. (1)

'Unto these caves and creeping vines,
My tears have traced their silent lines.
I leave behind my home, my past,
No longer here can my sorrow last. (2)

'With the game I played, my time is spent,
I won some of course but the, rest.
Now I cast aside all worldly ties,
I love you but, my soul now freely flies. (3)

'On virtue's chariot, I shall tread,
Forsaking sins that left me dead.
Through endless night, I fade away,
Beyond this life, beyond worldly play.' (4)
