Masefield really sums up life and death in the Passing Strange. I love the metaphors uses, his words are so raw. He simplifies life and death while at the same time, Masefield illuminates common threads within humanity, including the darkside. It is very sublime, yet so beautiful. The passing Strange is my favorite poem.
