That’s a superb picture captured in ink.
The artist confines his heart in the brush,

The art as continuous as rivers rush.

A good commentary on paintings. So much one misses each time his eyes blink (I agree, we need to look awhile before we can see everything inteneded.) And makes this a case for detective Bean ” (Many times the artist is painting his feelings and uses symbols and colors to make them visible, but it takes a searching on our part to find them out.) couple saw as the artist had planned, The rest, with puckered brows, believed him bland. (I certainly agree. What is seen depends mostly upon the viewer and not everyone will see the scene in the same way.) I love his visions; the magic they do. In fact, I think they make a stunning view. (I like these last two lines for a good summary. The best art is that which evokes the best magic.)
Bravo! Leslie, you did a great job on this sestet poem and it's easy to see you worked on this one and gave it quite a bit of polish, which is what a good poet is supposed to do! Carl.
Well painted Mister Leslie happy new year and keep painting beautiful as this
How green is my valley as green as your poem..luvli Nice walk thru in words Leslie you brush them together so well cheers regards
Hi Leslie - Interesting Poem - is the painter GOD Himself? Green is an amazing colour and capable of more shades than any other colour. Johnny Cash wrote an Irish Folk Song - Forty Shades of Green which is why it is called the Emerald Isle. The greens in ireland are better than anywhere else in the World. The Earth is the only Living Planet in the Solar System and possibly the Milky Way. To trap the energy from the Sun - Gid (who is a supreme Biochemist) syntesised am molecule CHLOROPHYLL which is Prophorin. Because of its molecular structure Chlorophyll absords light from both the blue and red end of the visible spectrum and consequently reflects the GREEN. Because most of plant life is green we live on a Green Planet. Because God painted Planet Earth in hundreds of shades of green - Visual Artists (unlike Andy Wharhol) have no choice and have to have a great wadge of green in any landscape painting. God is the greatest Artist in the Universe and always will be. Whether we are Artists or Scientists we are always thinking God's thoughts after him. Great poem - Great God. Yours in poetry JOHN
the poet like the painter put everything in green, and to fully understand you have to read in between.
When an artist 'confines his heart in the brush' some wonderful things appear in his picture.... you have portrayed this well Les... glad to see you are in print again. A delight to read and explore this piece of positive poetic verse. Fay 10
