The Owl And The Fairy... Poem by Shaun Cronick

The Owl And The Fairy...

In the woods,
Lost and alone.
A sad fairy,
Far from home.

How she cries,
Her endless tears.
For now its dark,
In a forest of fears.

She lifts her head,
And to her surprise.
Stands an owl,
So old and wise.

Come my child,
Lets get you home.
You've ventured far,
Your foolish roam.

I know the way,
Above the trees.
In this darkness,
I see with ease.

Hop on my back,
Please hold on tight.
And you'll be home,
By dawn's first light.

Your fairy kingdom,
Now awaits below.
Your parents faces,
Relieved and aglow.

Lovely, heart warming poem Shaun...thoroughly enjoyed reading it! I think Roald Dahl would ve very proud. It's definitely a fantastic fairy tale inspired five from me!
