There is no use in our outpouring of affection after death... If we could show a grain of affection to people while they were alive, many depressed souls languishing without love and care could have been saved! Great write!

Lyn, your poem is a simple and authentic view expressed and the out pour of grief for those who are famous has to be there just for sake of the breed of those surviving like the parasites. The genuine tears are often shed by most of us to compensate for what some may do to our chagrin. Mr Paul Brookes has just made a comment of his own and the same does not reflect anything related to the common judgement criterion applied to your poem. We all share here a wider platform and our poems can boast of variety themes and are full of inferences to life all across the world. We are not judged at any micro level on the basis of a poem that may not be liked by an odd visitor. Our fraternity is more important over the PH.

So true Lyn, when it is too late the outpouring of love starts, if only we could help people with depression to let them know we care! Powerful and very well written poem! Whenever you are over in Ireland I would love to meet you Lyn for a cuppa! !
