Bri thanks for turning my poem on its ear. I laughed more than I cried. As I told you before you are not a romantic; you are the reluctant romantic.

i guess i haven't seen the 'female' version yet. usually i am a little shaken when a poem is proceeding nicely with a regular rhyme scheme and then it suddenly.......stops (the rhyme scheme that is) . well, that isn't exactly what happened in this poem, but i was shocked a bit when i read the last word and it was so far from making a rhyme. BUT, as has at times happened, i was ok with the wording, and, in fact, liked that it drew attention to the wording, as there was no rhyming to distract me. thanks for sharing. obviously you are more of a romantic than i am. :) bri unfortunately (i THINK) i have not had a relationship as the one portrayed in the poem above. my relationships tend to go as follows: Only Two People In The World? My wives have pointed out each flaw I have, not bothering to ease my hurt with salve. They've said I'm mean and that I'm a bore. They've stricken my heartstrings to the core. They've listened to evil gossip others said. They've cursed me out and wished me dead. So finally, each time, my surrender flag I've unfurled. I'm glad they weren't the ONLY women in the world! ! bri :) 4-5-2014
