The Only One Poem by Felix Otiende

The Only One

The One
I had hung up my boots
Out of the game until I started salivating for you
I had given up on love

How did the passion arise?
You are a mystery to be demystified
Yes! A story unwritten nor told

You are perfect Image of Him
You are the missing piece of my broken heart
I tried to glue wrong pieces to my heart, today I praise Allah

Am going to introduce you to my mum
And cut-down trees to build
Your story must be a tale for years in my father's home

The only lady who attached her dreams to mine
I will fight your battle
Until the curtain of life closes.
