Till now I had always taken it as a timeless legend of Vikram Betaal…the puns and the intellectual answers were enjoyed, I even remembered the TV serial featuring Arun Govil as Vikram and Sajjan as Betaal, but had never thought of such a poignant metaphor behind the myth…we all carry the burden of unanswered queries and try to find the answers throughout our life, the threat of life always being there, ….so the evil fool wins in playing his tricks throughout our life. Your poem has opened a new insight to the legend and given a philosophic connotation attaching it to human life in simple but deep lines.

A good comparison of the story of Vikramatitya and Vedal with one's life that hangs on like the last two lines: Win or lose carry him remain We through out our life in vain!
