The One Night Stand Poem by O. A.

The One Night Stand

The One Night Stand

A one night stand, might last a few hours at most
Whereas True Love lasts for a lifetime...
Do not settle for less, go for more...
And you'll be happier walking
Out the door...

Two silhouettes by the fireplace...
-- One reaches over to stoke the flames
The other one recinds the offer again
-- One makes a gesture to have some fun
The other one decides to go home now
-- One begins to beckon for the other to stay
But the other one says: 'I had fun but I'm in love.'
-- One realizes that the chemistry is not real enough
So the other one opens the door and walks out now
-- One tries to say: 'goodbye, ' but the other one doesn't look
                                                                                                    Back...

The One Night Stand...
Too much pressure is
Placed on hooking up
If you're in love enough
Is enough...
Go back home to whom
It is you love...
