The Older I Get Poem by RHODVICK LUSENO

The Older I Get

The older I get, the less I chase,
I welcome peace, I leave the race.
If you love me, then you will stay,
If you don't, I'll walk away.

The older I get, the less I fight,
Not every battle deserves my might.
I save my words, I guard my sleep,
Some scars are shallow, some cut deep.

The older I get, the more I see,
The best things in life come quietly.
A hand to hold, a laugh at night,
A soul that stays when it's not right.

The older I get, the more I heal,
I trust my heart, I trust what's real.
Not every storm deserves my tears,
Some things get softer with the years.
